Karl-Hannes started sailing at age of 8 and after the Optimist class continued in the Laser class. During the winters, he has spent all his weekends iceboating, at first with the ice-optimist and later with the most popular iceboat class – DN. So, definitely a true icebreaker! As his father was a sailor and a boat builder, Karl-Hannes has also been involved in offshore and keelboat technical development processes since childhood. Later in life, Karl-Hannes also started match racing.
